Spring 2016 Fashion Trends

It's that time again when I discuss the hottest Spring Fashion Trends. Every season Pantone predicts the seasons hottest colors. Pantone is a company known for predicting what colors will be popular for the season. I have attached a diagram of what colors you will be seeing more of this season. The colors include; Rose Quartz, Peach Echo, Serenity, Snorkel Blue, Buttercup, Limpet Shell, Lilac Gray, Fiesta, Iced Coffee, and Green Flash. Two colors that you may see more of this season is Rose Quartz and Serenity. Now that we know what colors to expect this season, let's break down some of this season's fashion trends.

Tie Dye Look

The Tie Dye look was all over the runway this Spring. The look was inspired by the hippie vibe of the 70's. The 70's trend has been a hot trend for quite some time now and this look proves that it's here to stay.

In Your Face Lace

On the runway in Fall 2015, there were a lot of lace Victorian looks. This season lace upped the ante with see through lace, sheer dresses, lace with appliques, and other fun details.

Cold Shoulder Look

The cold shoulder look is when the shoulders are exposed. You will be seeing this look in tops and dresses in different ways. This is a subtle way to add some sex appeal to your outfit. This is one of my favorite looks and I have worn this look a few times already.

Pretty in Pink

Since Rose Quartz is a hot color this season, it's no surprise that different shades of pink will be popular also. I'm excited for this trend since pink is one of my favorite colors. Try wearing a monochromatic look with different shades of pink for a very dainty and lady like look.

Garden Party

Flowers and more flowers. High end designers like Carolina Herrera and Dolce & Gabbana, embraced garden motifs on their shoes this season. Floral motifs on shoes, floral appliques on dresses, and floral prints on dresses all graced the runway. The Spring flowers will not be the only thing blooming this season.

Victorian Look

Corsets, big puffy sleeves, bustier, ruffles, and high necklines, all represent the Victorian look. This look comprises the various fashions and trends in British culture that emerged and developed in the United Kingdom and the British Empire throughout the Victorian era, roughly 1830s to 1900s (decade). The period saw many changes in fashion, including changes in clothing, architecture, literature, and the decorative and visual arts.

Denim Trend

Denim jeans have always been an American staple. This season denim will not only be seen in just jeans, but also denim dresses, tops, jumpsuits, handbags, and accessories. Printed denim with floral motifs was seen on the runway by designers Versus Versace and Alexander McQueen.

Designers like Proenza Schouler and Diane Von Furstenberg, both incorporated hints of Spanish culture into their collections, from bold red hues to toreador- esque flourishes. Ruffles, flamenco skirts, and vibrant prints, all describe the Latin influenced trend.
